TEST N’ TUNE INFORMATION
Below are basic test n’ tune rules. Rules may vary depending on the type of car, year and modifications made to the vehicle.
Additional questions can be directed to the head of the Tech department 856-768-2167 x 100.
Dates consist of most Tuesday and Friday nights and designated weekend days.

Atco Dragway is sanctioned by the NHRA and the NJ State Police Racing Control Unit all rules must be abided by at all times.
ALL CARS / GENERAL RULES:
Passengers are prohibited on the track.
All drivers must have a tech card. One tech card does not work for 2 drivers or 2 cars.
All racers must have a SNELL 2015 or 2020 approved helmet. DOT/ MX / Bicycle helmets Prohibited.
*Helmets may be available in the speed shop. Check availability before coming.
Seat belts must work. If your vehicle has harness belts or latch belts they must within the expiration date.
All racers must wear long pants, sneakers and a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt at minimum.
Race vehicles with Nitrous require SFI jackets: 3.2A/15; 3.2A/20; 3.2A/25; 3.2A/30 Drivers Suits
No Juniors allowed on Tuesday Night Test and Tune
EV Vehicles Prohibited from Test and Tune and Competition
NHRA License at 9.99
Roll Cage at 9.99
Roll Bar at 11.49
Parachutes at 150+mph
NEW CAR RULES:
If your car is from 2008 – 2014 and you run at a speed of 10.0 and slower or your car is a 2014 and Newer running at a 9.00 and/or 150 MPH and slower stock safety equipment (OEM) is all that is needed. All racers must wear a 2015 or 2020 Snell helmet! An NHRA License is not necessary at these ET’s.
2014 and newer cars running 9.99 or faster would need to adhere to the NHRA Street Legal Program:
CONVERTIBLES & T-TOPS:
11.0 and Slower are good with general rules.
11.99 and quicker arm restraints must be used.
10.99 and quicker full roll cage is required in both.
Roll bar is mandatory from 11.49 – 11.0 in a vehicle with T-tops.
Roll bar is mandatory from 13.49 – 11.0 in a convertible.
Convertibles have extensive requirements. Please call tech if you wish to review.
Hard tops are not restricted to convertible rules.
MOTORCYCLES:
ALL Motorcycles must have a rear working break!
125 mph and slower
Full Face Helmet
Leather Jacket
Gloves
Shoe must cover your ankle
Old bike without tip over switch kill switch must be tethered to wrist
Over 125 mph
All of the above + Full Leathers
NHRA License 9.99 and/or 125 mph
